No Map Included began with a simple observation: we're always somewhere in the middle, between a high and a low, an ending and whatever comes next, without a plan for any of it.
We spend so much time talking about success, milestones, and certainty. I'm more interested in what happens before that. The moments where an identity gets interrupted, a career goes unscripted, a loss stays unresolved, or what's next turns uncertain, and somewhere in the middle of it, you're still trying to build something independent, whether that's a film, a career, or a version of yourself.
Through conversations, essays, and personal reflections, No Map Included stays in those in-between spaces. Not to offer answers, but to stay with the questions a little longer.
THE HOST
I’m Yessi Sanchez. Filmmaker, producer, writer, based in Los Angeles. Before moving behind the camera, I spent over a decade working as an actor, an experience that shaped not only the stories I want to tell but also the questions I keep coming back to.
Today, I split my time between developing independent films, producing podcasts, and documenting the creative process in real time through No Map Included.
I don't have everything figured out. That's kind of the point.
